2–6 March 2009, St Louis, Missouri, USA
The Project Advisory Committee for the Maruca-Resistant Cowpea Project has identified three areas for which additional input and guidance is desired in order to assist in the development of a regulatory strategy for the crop. These areas are: (1) impact on non-target organisms, (2) insect resistance management, and (3) potential impact resulting from gene flow from Bt-expressing cultivated cowpea into wild relatives. Towards this goal, AATF, the Program for Biosafety Systems, and the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center are hosting a meeting of international scientific experts in these disciplines to provide this input. The meeting will be held at the Danforth Center in St Louis, Missouri, USA from 2–6 March 2009.
