Apollo Tugeineyo is an agricultural economist with an MSc. degree in Agricultural Economics from Sokoine University of Agriculture, Tanzania and a BSc. degree in Agribusiness Management from Makerere University, Uganda. Prior to joining AATF, Apollo served as Program Coordinator at Ntungamo District Local Government for National Agricultural Advisory Services (NAADS) under Uganda’s Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF). Prior to this, he worked as Project Facilitator at World Vision Tanzania, Kigoma Sub-Region, in charge of agricultural extension linkages in Western Tanzania; as Agribusiness Field Officer at Companion Uganda Ltd; as Production Farm Manager at Zirobwe Demonstration Farm with key role of developing value chain mappings and production innovations, and as a data analyst at Uganda Companion Ltd. Apollo is skilled at data analysis, and monitoring and evaluation.. He has a paper entitled, “An Economic Assessment of Invasive Shrubs and Grasses on Pastoral Grazinglands of Ruhaama County, Ntungamo District, Uganda” reviewed in Journal of Agricultural Economics and Development (JAED) of Sokoine University of Agriculture, Tanzania. Apollo is charged with deployment of StrigAway maize varieties in Mbale, Iganga, Mayuge, Bugiri, Tororo, and Sironko districts in Eastern Region of Uganda. Apollo is a national of Uganda.
